About This Course

Veterinary Technicians are vital members of every veterinary team. As we continue to navigate a worldwide pandemic and dramatically increased caseloads, veterinary medicine is facing a growing technician staffing crisis. Part of this crisis can be attributed to compassion fatigue and burnout, part to salary complaints, and part to overall job satisfaction. How do we as professionals, take the knowledge we have and work with our veterinarians to eliminate these issues? We need to work as a team so everyone is working toward the best interest of our patients and clients while at the same time staying healthy.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify barriers to building trust
  • Identify solutions to building trust
  • Explain one way to advocate for yourself
  • Describe the barriers to change
  • Discuss the importance of communication
